little

Got the first little taste of fear of birthing yesterday when I realized that my VAGINA doesn't dilate to 10cm, the cervix does. that means my vagina, little baby hole, has to just open up miraculously and squeeze out a head and shoulders??? ohhhhh boy.

BUT it's fine and I have new goals:

I will be KNOWLEDGEABLE, POWERFUL, INVOLVED, FORWARD THINKING, FULFILLED, DIRECTING, TRUSTING, SELF-SUFFICIENT, DECISIVE, CONFIDENT, ASSERTIVE, and SATISFIED.  I had quite a long conversation with myself on how to accomplish each one of these things.
I will be POSITIVE, OPTIMISTIC, HONEST, REALISTIC. When I have to decide something, I'll think about it assertively, make a decision, and then stick to it!! It's already worked twice!!!

WOW, there was a crazy huge nasty dust storm in Phoenix last night. I've never ever seen anything like it! When we opened our door to see, it was in our eyes, mouth, hair, covering the floor, covering the whole house, really! crazy! But I have to admit, I love stuff like this. I love it when the power goes out, when we get to have an adventure. I mean, it got pretty extreme in DC when the power would be out for 3-4 days/we couldn't go outside for fear of being swallowed by snow storms, BUT here in AZ, it's cool because it rarely happens! (knock on wood, huh.)

Tonight we have our FIRST hypnobirthing class!!!! SO EXCITED!! I'll let you know how it goes.

We've been doing a Harry Potter movie marathon to get ready for the last movie coming up! I hadn't seen these since in the theater, and so far all the ones I thought I loved, weren't so great, and the one I thought I hated was awesome.

TIME TO DO SOME MAJOR DUSTING. AND MAJOR YOGA.

DUN DUN DUN

Have you heard?????????????? THERE'S BEEN A HUGE BLIZZARD IN DC!!!!!!

We're surviving. :) Actually it has been pretty fun. Everything in the city has shut down because no one can get their cars out of the driveway and the metro can't run above ground.

It was pretty crazy! Last weekend, as the storm was hitting, we stopped by the grocery store for a couple of things. There was NOTHING there! The shelves were mostly barren. No milk! No Eggs! No chicken!!! No tomatoes!!!!!! The place was a madhouse. Kind of scary to think this was just a snow storm. What will "the end" be like? Don't you worry though, we had enough food and were able to get stuff from our farmer's market on Saturday.

Sunday, church was cancelled again, of course, so we had a mini church. Then we went on a big walk. The sun was out; the sky was blue; we had so much fun, but it was still FREEZING! The wind goes like 15-20 mph and cuts your face into bloody pieces. Phew.

Other than snow walks, we've been watching lost of movies and the Bachelor and LOST on hulu. We haven't seen the B this week yet, but Jake! Get rid of ALLY!!! YUCK! LOST is the greatest show ever to air on Television. Period. End of Story. That first episode last week had me SCREAMING with fear the whole time. I LOVE IT!

ALSO: I got a job! Daniel from Jouvence Aveda called me about the application I turned in a couple of weeks ago. He invited me to talk today, and apparently he liked me because I start training on Saturday! I'm kind of nervous, but really excited for free hair cuts, manicures, products, and MONEY, woo. It should be fun. ???? I hope. I don't die.

PS. Daniel is the President and is from Paris. He is awesome. So suave. So intimidating. I told him my husband served a mission in Paris and that they'll have to speak French together sometime. He laughed at that. He also laughed when I told him my hobbies were documenting, being with friends, and playing board games. Not sure if laughs are good or bad. Ha!

We're getting 10 inches or more right now. I say, BRING IT ON! BUT! Please let me go to church this Sunday! I really really miss it.

snowed in.

Remember how cold I said it was on Friday? Well, Saturday morning we woke up to it starting to snow!
It was so pretty and exciting. It snowed ALL day and we didn't leave the house at all. It was fun for a while but then it got REALLY BORING.
The crappy laptop we have with us wouldn't turn on so we were TRAPPED with no movies or internet or LOST! We played every game we have with us (1 board game and 2 decks of cards), then we got creative. We wrote a play, played MASH, played the SCARIEST GAME OF Hide and Go Seek in the Dark EVER EVER EVER! It was a fun night. Here is me FINALLY getting my book from Amazon.com. I'm two weeks into school already and really needed it, PHEW!A cute dad and little boy were sledding together, aw. We're not creepsters, I swear.

This was the first pizza we ordered. Then we got another one, because this one sucked. Pizza Hut, you saved my life. Deep dish cheese, bacon, chicken, onions, and tomatoes is my new FAVORITE thing EVER.
Pretty snow outside on Sunday morning. We found out church was cancelled though! We were so sad because it was our time to get out and meet and talk to people! SNOWED IN FOR THE SECOND DAY IN A ROW! NOoooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
We got super bundled up and walked to the library. It wasn't that cold out and I sweated the whole way. I love life!
And I really love this guy:
