Fred: (singing) melted ice...melted ice..turn away and slam the door. Here I stand, melted ice, melted ice!

Fred: (while laying in bed at gmas about to go to sleep...well, me trying to get him to sleep..) I want to go to mommy's home.
Me: we will
Fred: let's go right now, mommy.
Me: right now we are going to bed at grandmas. We will go get daddy from the airport on Thursday and go to our home.
Fred: ooooh okay. I'll drive and you'll sit in my car seat.

Me: (showing a picture of smith and me on our wedding day) who's this?
Fred: mommy and daddyo
Me: that's right. We got married in the Mesa temple.
Fred: you followed the prophet
---look, this was a sweet one. They are learning follow the prophet in church and he loves that song---

(We were driving and minutes from home, Hattie started crying hard.)
Fred: DADDYO STOP! STOP!! She needs milk!!!!!

His new thing to do all the time--we're driving and he'll say, "Stop! Stop! I need to tell you something!"
And I'll say, "can't stop, buddy. I'm driving." And he'll remind me, "there will be a red light and you'll have to stop."
Touché.

Listening to Katy perry on radio...
......past the breaking point...blah blah..you held me down...
I change the station
Fred: I want "but I got up!"
(Sad day. He knows the lyrics to that song.)

(At bedtime)
Fred (to daddy): You were at work. (Then gave Collin the biggest hug.) I missed you!!
(Then looked at me) I missed you too, mommy. You went to God.

Don't get the wrong idea....he's been refusing to pray at all lately. But outta no where I walked in on him praying the other day. Hehe love it. Yeah pray that pizza pocket doesn't kill ya...cause it's not real food.

(Another prayer)
"Thank you for my penis. Thank you for my [food]."

Collin: ...yeah cause Hattie can't talk yet...
Fred: she can talk to me.
Dad: oh really? What does she say to you?
Fred: uh...."talk talk talk talk
.....sing sing sing sing...."

Fred: this is the 101 and that's the 202 right there. (Talking highways.)

(My milk was spraying everywhere. He always thinks that's so funny...)
Fred: mama, what are you doing??
Me: making milk. What's your super power. (Jokingish)
Fred: penis

Fred was playing with his bug catching kit, which has a net, tweezers, magnifying glass, etc. Hattie tried to grab some of it and Fred said, "No! That's for boys!!"

Fred: be right back, everybody. I'm going to ARIZONA! (And unlocked, opened and walked right out the door.)

Fred: I'm SUPER MAN! I'm SPIDER-MAN!!! (Over and over and over all evening.)

He really never let up on this superman thing. Collin dressed him up proper. Where did he even get this? We don't discuss spider or super other than Collin saying once or twice that he wants to see the new Spider-man movie. So funny!!! What a boy!

Babes in toy land

I've been behind in blogging lately. I'm still working on posts from the last few weeks. But this morning we are about to watch General Conference (lds.org) and I'm pretty happy and grateful feeling. I love this family of mine. I love our strange, sweet life together, our too small for us apartment, trying to keep up with dishes and laundry, getting outside as much as possible before the heat, making food, breastfeeding all day, two kids, adventures in being married to Collin, happiest baby Hattie smiles, trotro, kitties, babywearing, cosleeping, three oldest children living in one house head butting, my darling special son who radiates light to everyone he comes in contact with. I could go on. I'm feeling so blessed and positive. Yes we have our problems. But I will focus on the blessings. Happy general conference! (And here's to lots of projects around the apt today in between!)

Freddie loves me taking pictures of him with hattie!!!

Me: Freddy I'm 30 and you're 2 years old!
Fred: no I'm 30 and you're 2!

Fred (To Collin while at costco): I will get spicy chips. For later.

Me (reading): pigs eat mushrooms.
Fred: I eat mushrooms at mommy's home.

(Singing): It's a big one after all, it's a big one after all, it's a big one after all, it's a big big one.

(While playing with a bunch of my purple beads on his car race track): Don't touch them mommy; it's too "drain-drous!" (dangerous)

Oh man, this morning Fred told Collin he has a dirty head and that I have a big nose!

He lays next to Hattie and pulls her over so that she's on her tummy and when we try to help her, he says, "LET HER SWIM!!!"

Fred: Let's get in the curtains, Daddyo!
