$10, $20, $30, August!

Here we go: August so far. I love Aunt Carol (my mom's sister) and Uncle Dean Johnson. They are from Ocala (ish), Florida, and passed through here for a day last week.

We cannot emphasis ENOUGH how much we LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE it when people come stay with us. Last minute or months in advance notice; we don't care; we just love it. Just come here, now.

We have the BEST new hummus recipe thanks to Bryan Taylor.

And one recipe we actually make over and over: Thai peanut chicken.

Pizza on Friday night! Woot!

Fresh ingredients from my friend's garden! They are on vacation and told us to pick stuff. WE DID. Fresh baby basil, and all different kinds of tomatoes: YESS.

This fresh motzerella is incredible. SO perfectly deliciously salty and cheesy and yum. And from Target!

I honestly could have eaten this all by myself. The whole block. But I didn't.

Here is something we've anticipated for a while: MORGAN AND TOM SKEEN'S Wedding announcement, oh I love them! Oh I can't wait!!

I went to the temple Friday. I love spirit, and the sweet answers I feel in my heart.

Introducing BRUNO THE DOG!! He's our friends' dog and we watched him this weekend. He is so fun to hang out with. Made me feel young! Ps. His tongue is too long to stay in his mouth! hehe, I love him!!!

Okay so tomatoes are our staple. For sure. Caprese after church.

BB & Towels

Becca and Bryan left early this morning. They are off on their next adventure--I want to go backpacking with Smith! I think we're living our adventure right now, but I need a trip with just him to somewhere new, exciting, different!

Today I have off work. Wednesdays are weird days to have off. I've cleaned up, done tons of laundry, indexed, watched Top Chef, SVU, and The Bachelorette (tear), made some breakfast, done the dishes, and now I'm ready for some Super Nintendo. I'm going to beat every game starting with Zelda.

The missionaries are coming over for dinner tonight, and we're making pizza. Das good. Also, it is HUMID in Maryland.

PS!! B&B gave us the game Bananagrams, and I am OBSESSED! I will ask everyone to play with me. I've been sleeping with it. Seriously.

PPS. It really sucks having a best best soul mate best friend engaged and you're SO SO happy for her, and you'll be at the wedding, but you're 9000 miles away and can't help with anything.

I talked to Tom on the phone the other day, and man, he's awesome. I was SO nervous and kept saying really weird stuff. Haha!!! I can't WAIT for September 9th!!

I am engaged!!!!
It happened June 27th in Sarasota, Florida
at the Shelby Marie Botanical Gardens.
Collin and I were practically the only ones
there and it was a VERY humid day.

We were walking around, he was acting
kind of strange, and then we came to this
huge grassy field. He pretty much waited
till the right moment, and got down on his
knee, pulled out a box, and asked me to
marry him!! Stupid me, I didn't even see
it coming....of course he had been throwing
me off for weeks.
He said I had a shocked look on my face,
and I'm sure that I did!! haha. I said, YES!
and got a little teary-eyed.
I went to the bathroom and prayed about it
and felt a strong GOOD ANSWER feeling.
Then I went outside and he and I ran around
giddy for a while. I was so swollen that my
ring was a snug fit!!! haha.
It is PERFECT. I love it so much. It is simple,
unique and pretty...actually BEAUTIFUL.
Collin said it was the most stressful day of
his life picking it out, but he did a GREAT job!!!


We are getting married on November 22, 2008
in the Mesa, Arizona temple. We can't wait!
We have been apart for 3 weeks now as I have
been in the Czech Republic, and he has been
on the east coast with the art company he
works for. I am loving it here, but can't
wait to be back with him!

We will live in Provo, Utah until he graduates
next spring, and then who knows!!!!
I am still slowly working on my degree!
