How I feel after reading "Fear Not" in the December Ensign

SO GOOD! Peace. Comfort. Love.

Read: Fear Not

I'm HOME!

We are back in DC. And there is no snow. And it's kind of sunny and nice out. YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I got mail)

We had the most perfect wonderful amazing Christmas with the Smiths in Kentucky (despite a disappointing challenge, but the atonement allowed me to overcome it and feel peace).

I can't wait to post pictures!!! I wish I had my cord with me to post photos right now, but I don't, so here are the only ones I have from my phone:

Collin getting ready to leave Baltimore for Kentucky 11 days ago:

me looking deranged, sister-in-law, Ashley, Kate and Lauren. I LOVE THESE GALS!!!!

We had such a great time playing games, cooking, eating (I'm fat and happy), playing, shopping, and talking!

For now I'm bored bored bored, but I'll be great very soon! Grocery shopping today and love with husband and kitten. We're getting back into the groove of life, cleaning up, putting things away, loving our BED! Bed, how we've MISSED YOU!

The only thing that stinks right now are the rocks in my nose due to the dry weather. Not cool. But I'm excited for NEW YEARS!!! 2011, here I COME, with LOTS of resolutions.

And here are some pictures Joseph sent me from the Money's trip to the Mesa Temple lights on Mon. They remind me of AZ and make me feel all cozy.

Happy Birthday, Dear AJ Money!!

Alan Edward Money II,
I've known you since you were 0
and yesterday you turned 24!

I love you. You're incredible.

Sister.

CHRISTMAS!!!

Every time I look at my husband, I love him more and more. I can't stop falling deeper and deeper. I need him. I rely on him. HE is there for me 100%. I change because he is worth it. I am eternally grateful. Heavenly Father has blessed me so much---no matter how hard anything is that I have to be faced with, I HAVE HIM!

SO MUCH SNOW!

Okay, I usually HATE the snow because it means living in the snow and freezing outside, but man, this is pretty, and man, I'm in a great mood, and man, I'm loving life and husband and kitten.

I made a Christmas tree in the snow with my foot

Tonight we're going to PACK for Christmas in Kentucky! We're going to be the happiest family and have so much fun and watch It's a Wonderful Life. That movie really means Christmas to me. Christmas!!! It's almost here! And we're ready for it! I'm just enjoying every moment right now. I won't be with my little honey kitten on Christmas day. So we're going to have so much fun tonight and tomorrow and Saturday morning until it is time to go. And then I'm going to PULL IT TOGETHER because I know he's going to have the best time and be safe and have a great Christmas. He will be staying with our neighbors who are big time cat lovers and he'll have a playmate named Shadow for 10 days. AND I know WE are going to have the greatest time, too.

But my baby! 10 days! Oh man, it's going to be rough. But it will be okay.

Dc Temple Lights

This really reminds me of home. And you know, we're really making a home for ourselves here. I feel good. I feel loved, cared for, comfortable, like I'm needed and like there's much to do and explore. I want to take more advantage of every day and everything I see.

"I yike da yights," --baby Joe Money.

Everything points to Christ as our Savior and Redeemer. He is the ultimate example of love, unselfishness, peace, service, and humility. It humbles me to think of his goodness. I feel so good! I miss home, but I feel more connected to my family than ever, and blessed with friends old and new who really love me, my honey, and my tiny kitten honey.

We love to dress up like nerds and Christmas Carol.

It's just who we are

Montgomery Jack-o-lantern didn't like his blanket so much. Or being in the freezing cold. Or when we tried to put the antlers on him. But oh we laughed and laughed and laughed.

Here's our homemade Lasagna with no recipe. Why would you ever follow a recipe when making Lasagna? Well, I certainly never will again. THIS WAS DELICIOUS!

Stress-Free Zone

The most stressed-out person ever just came into the salon.

She had called me on the way here because they were lost. So angry at herself and at me because she was on the wrong street. But I got her here and told not to worry and that I'd stay open for her.

She ran into the store; was all in a huff. She was all dressed up and really looked super cute. I told her how pretty her coat was and that it was no problem when she said thank you. She said they had to be somewhere.

Then she left.

I don't ever want to be like that. I'm not stressed out at all this Christmas. We're not buying any gifts. We're hand making a few things for family. I don't feel SUPER Christmasy yet, but I know I will. When we get to Kentucky, I will. And we'll be with our family and kitten for 10 days without a care in the world.

Everyone: don't be stressed out. Just watch the First Presidency's Christmas Devotional, do something you like to do, snuggle with your kitten or your best friend,  and enjoy the feeling.

nursery time

These are the kids I teach in nursery at church. I love them.

They love to go into the closet. Just like my kitten.
Attempts at trying to get group photos. Almost.

Logan died a little.

Little sweet ones. I never want to stop this calling. Never never.
