Perfect?

Collin and I lay here, the night before we go to Disney World, giddy as if it's Christmas tomorrow, legs tangled up, talking. Remembering our son and how it was to have a brand new baby. Just days old. So tiny and incredible and dependent. And he's getting bigger and older; he'll be 6 months old in a couple of weeks. He is growing a tooth. Hes crawling. He can sit himself up and practically jump out if hid carseat. And he's still dependent on us. It's incredible in whole different ways. And life isn't perfect: it can be more complicated, stressful, late, impatient (w each other), different from life without a child. But when I think about it it really is perfect. It's actually simple, savory. Just what we need. Just what we want. Perfect.
And I have my perfect partner, CS, to share it all with.
