Quinceanera
Collin and Frederick and I attended our very first quinceanera this weekend for a girl I teach in young women's at church. It was awesome! it was as formal as a wedding. Everything was hot-pink-satin-silver fabulous. She wore a gorgeous glittering ball gown and even had a bouquet! Her mother and dad said it was so much work. The food and company was great and the dance party was the best part of all. I tell ya, my baby is crazy awesome: as soon as we were out on the dance floor with the insanely loud pa system, he fell peacefully to sleep. This kid is just lulled by super loud noises I guess. Best babe ever, I say.

Independent 10 month old, yoga
Working through some really interesting feelings right now. At 10 months Frederick has become fiercely independent at times. he hasn't eaten at night for the past three days. He also has a much harder time eating a complete meal of nursing without getting distracted. While some might call me lucky others might call me lost. Is there anyone out there who can relate? I feel like he doesn't need me anymore...well as much. I'm having a hard time understanding my new role. Today I spent time at my new yoga studio and absolutely loved it but a) felt guilty for being away and b) really really missed him. While at yoga I had a few great thoughts...that he'll still need me in other ways (but it doesn't make it easier quick yet) and also that my body is so important. It is the key for me. It is essential for Eternal Life and eternal happiness. I believe my role as mother is the most important on this earth and my body is how I become a mother. I need to do everything I can to take care of my body so that I can continue to have healthy pregnancies and births and the energy to raise my children. I'm still working on cutting out things but I've loved working out to Zumba and other cardio stuff as well as an work outs and yoga. (baby mama is my Fav). I have seen results and will continue to. Some people just lose their baby weight right away and I think that's so awesome. But my body takes it slow. It will be around a year that it takes me to get back to normal but that's okay! Well down to a size I'm happy with anyway.
Another question: how do I make sure Frederick is going to get a the nutrition he needs if he's not nursing as much throughout the day? Time to hit the books. I'll start at La Leche League and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Random stuff about us:
I'm a bracelet, earring, etc making machine. I'll make you anything you need.
We're obsessed with Pretty Little Liars. BUT DON'T SAY ANYTHING!!! We aren't caught up yet!
We went to Costco just for the samples today.

Bowling!!
After my moms group, my mother and brother randomly picked us up for some bowling. This was an excellent surprise since we spend most of our afternoons indoors these days. ((so hot or humid!)) anyway it was super fun and I just love that Fred is so loved.
After Collin came home we totally went to our NEW FAVORITE PLACE of all time.....America's Taco Shop! Oh my gosh it's delicious. And Fred is cute.

Happy birthday Kate!
My Dearest Katie Nelson turned 25 and we had a super fun celebration! We ate some delicious food and then went to The Big Bang, an AWESOME piano bar where you request songs and the piano men and women can play pretty much ANYTHING. And everyone sings and dances to their hearts' content! Sooooo fun!!!!! Kate rocked out to Journey and we all may or may not have danced on stage to pour some sugar on me..... Happy birthday to one of the most wonderful women I know!

Mini blog posts to catch up......and GO!
Baby time at the library! We've been going for months and are loving it! We've made lots of friends: mommies and babies. Fred mainly just loves to suck on the shakers during singing time...don't worry...they are cleaned after every class. We love books! We love the library!

sat
I just love mornings when you wake up and there isn't a whole lot planned for the day and you get a chance to remember how much you're in love with your spouse you that you're so happy and that these days are just as carefree as the beginning of your marriage in Provo when you'd ride bikes everywhere. You put on a record and even take a walk to the store just to get orange juice.

10 month old eve
Fred turns 10 months old tomorrow. What the!? When did that happen? Well apparently he has the ability to walk and has started to choose that over crawling more and more. He laughs at everything. He brings so much happiness to our family. He loves swimming and dancing and talking all day long. This is one active kid. He's so friendly with others, just like his daddy, who he, by the way, already idolizes. Fred likes to be a little naughty too. He loves to knock the kitties' water bowls over a million times a day; he is constantly trying to eat their food. He loves to pull out all the books and movies. He's helpful too! He pushes around the vacuum or follows me around while I'm vacuuming. I love this kid. He's my best friend (after Collin of course!) I can tell he loves me or at least likes me. haha. He still loves to nurse and I love it just as much. I love those big blue eyes staring up at me. We'll stare and stare until someone cracks a smile and milk goes everywhere. It's wonderful. (you've gotta be there??)
LOVE you, Frederick!!
