Want to get my kids to do anything? Tell them they can go to a party. Even better: a dance party. Even BETTER: a wedding dance party. They are party animals and wedding lovers just like Collin and I and Saturday night we went to the reception of Collin's coworker and good Frieda's daughter. So much fun getting dressed up and going.
Love my cute honey bug lady killer.
After making it through one of the longest receiving lines ever. Seriously an hour or so wait, and meeting the awesome family, we got our donuts and chilled. Fred and hat made instant friends with a nice kid and they ran all over the place playing.

She always wants a do over pic. 🙏🏻👼
So this is the only picture I have of the dance party. We got down. Fred and Hat danced like mad too and Freddie even went in the middle of the giant circle of people dancing hehe.
Great fun and cutie dot while we play games at home after. What is it with cats and boxes? They love em.

It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.
This family is a family of four. This is what we know. We are reaching out to a new world, new life, new one, ready for him or her to change us forever. I love these ones. These ones who try me and challenge me and stretch me and encourage, lead, love, forgive, teach me, listen to me, are fascinated by me. And I am truly captivated by them. God gave them to me. I look at them laughing, crying, running, watching, even defying, and I can't help but pray to God and thank him, in a most sincere way. I don't know what the future holds or what heartache we might someday know, but I know I have them for forever. That's very real. And this was his plan! To give us families. "If it's even better than this in the next life, than it's going to be good," I was thinking today. "Because this is really really good." And many times I'm like, "This is WAY TOO HARD!!!" but I know I need those times too.
We're ready for you, babe. Take as long as you need. I'll wait weeks if you need. But we're ready when you are, to welcome and love you and bring you into our tiny world. Please forgive us for the times we fight or overreact or are selfish or loud or messy or crazy. All those things happen at times, but we knew you were meant for us and we will do our best and say sorry when it's not good enough. We love you already. We've loved being a family of four. Mama, Dada, Freddie, and Hattie and DOT! And now we're ready for more!

A happy Easter and egg hunt!
We started the Eater weekend on Saturday with a fun egg hunt (our first!) for the kids. It was also dada's birthday. The sun was bright and the little blossoms were popping out on all the trees. A perfect happy day to celebrate the life, death, and resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
We filled the eggs and baskets with little dollar store cars and trinkets and crafts and puzzles. It's was so much fun.
The next day was church on Sunday. Freddie and I sang in the choir and every meeting was filled with the spirit and hope through the Atonement. I love my little Easter dinos!
We all got to wear or new Easter clothes and that was super fun.
We had a delicious ham dinner with Lulu and Pops and sang songs, talked about passed Easters and shared some of our thoughts on the Savior. We did a fun activity from the Children's Friend Magazine on the symbols and meaning of Easter.
