Ultrasound at 22 weeks!

MWe got our ultrasound yesterday! Little Bebe is growing very well. Everything looks normal! He or she is very active and was playing peek a boo and dancing to the beat of the music in the room the whole time. He or she seemed to be showing off for Fred and hat and Ella. Hahaha.

Ella kept saying “oh my gosh!!!” And afterwards said, “that was fun to see the baby.”
Fred got to get out of school for an hour for this and was telling everyone so proudly that “he gets to see the baby on an ultrasound!” He read and pointed out everything he could see and asked a million questions.  He asked me if we could, “PLEASE find out if it’s a boy or girl.” Nope! But he’s super excited to be the one, with his sisters, to look and call out the gender at the birth.
Hattie stayed close to me, smiling, and commenting over and over that “it’s so exciting!!”

Collin and I were full of joy and gratitude to experience this together. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

21 week ultrasound

We got our big ultrasound for smith babe 2 the other day. It was so exciting!!! Frederick thought it was awesome. It was a bit of a shock in a weird way...we are really having another baby!! (Duh, my stomach is huge and I can feel something living in there...) but you know...we're going to have another Freddie...someone totally independent and different!!! But I can only fathom another Freddie!!! Collin seemed to just  be 100% happy. I'm really so excited. I love being pregnant...though it's harder this time around...I was sicker, my body is stretching more quickly, I'm older, and I feel achier. Sciatica pain is REAL and it sucks badly. (luckily I have a husband who is the BEST prenatal masseuse of all time and he saves me!!!) But I love it. I'm grateful and excited and happy. Any fear or apprehension is gone at the present.

Don't mind the finger over the photo....Sandy Money!!!!! ;)

it's a....................

BABE!

Babe Skittlecore Smith is whole! 2 arms, 2 legs, 2 kidneys, full lips, super strong heart, big brain! a little hair! about 3.9 pounds right now! he/she (still a surprise!) kept making sucking and eating motions with his/her mouth and was moving allllllll over the place. The head was down (right next to the TINY closed cervix--yipes, hehe), feet were crossed at the ankle by the head. WHAT A CUTIE! We got photos of the face, profile, and leg. The face looks ghosty!!!!!! but little guy or gal has SUPER cute chubby cheeks and little cute chin. ahhh!!! It was crazy! we are so excited. The kitties are excited, too. When I showed them the pictures, they kept smelling the paper. sillies.

Oh my gosh, we're making a human.

LOOOOVVEE,

Nikki Collin Monte Dot Skittlecore SMITH!

Let's just make it official.

I'm having a babe!!! He/She is coming sometime in September.

Super, super happy am I.

ABOVE PHOTO:
Babe Skittlecore at just 7.5 weeks. He's the shrimp puff that's being measured. The circle thing at top that looks like a head was actually the feeding sac.

She/he is now 12 weeks, has mostly all parts, a placenta, and is the size of a LIME!

Growing SO fast, at the end of this week he'll be the size of a PEACH! Whaaa??  So cool. I've been reading and learning a ton about being pregnant and giving birth. Now I'm done reading.  I'm just going to enjoy and experience and try to figure things out. But I'll still listen intently to any mother's birth story.

I'm not afraid of child birth, for some crazy reason. Maybe I will be later, and I know it'll hurt insanely, but I'm sort of excited to experience it. I just want to be calm and relaxed.

Collin is the best ever. He loves me, feeds me, listens to my complaints and even takes the blame when my hormones are going CRAZY and I'm SUPER MEAN to him. Seriously, it is nuts.
Monte knows something is up. He's acting more babyish and needy and cuddly than ever. I sure love it.

Anyway, this was the perfect time for us. Heavenly Father really knows me and is preparing me and loves me.

Ps. My mother and youngest brother are going to be here in 4 days.
