More summer

It's gotten to the point where we can't really go outside anymore besides swimming. Yesterday was 118 and some meters read 121. Photos are from the last couple of weeks.

Together again; together forever

Collin spent most of this week in Las Vegas at the amazing humongous CES conference. (More about that here.)
While I know he missed us and we missed him like nutballs, I'm so glad he got the awesome opportunity to see some sweet technology, meet great contacts and cool cats and eat at Fleur by Hubert Keller. (lucky dog.)
We kept busy by visiting family and playing outside a ton in the gorgeous foggy overcast weather.
Now I'm just glad CS is home and my boys are snoring next to me. I love those dudes. They had the best reunion ever!!!!! Fred just got giddy as if he were "tickled pink," and then started laughing hysterically like a madman and hugging and kissing commenced.
Then...playing in Fred's room and telling every single intricate detail of each of our weeks (which I loved)...having dinner...(trying to) play guitar hero (w a toddler) is impossible but still fun...watching the Bachelor (I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH!) and eating grilled cheese and tomato soup.

Joseph's basketball game

We love watching Joe play sports!! And of course, Freddie steaks the show. I had to sneak off to feed him and some guy didn't notice and came in and played the piano. It was awesome. Oh and I love my mom's front yard. So many beautiful colors! Spring is almost here!!

Trip to Tucson

This past weekend, Joseph had his first football game of the season in Tucson so the whole family went down together. We stayed in this awesome beautiful hotel that blended in really perfectly with the mountains and scenery. It was a relaxing paradise. My dad is the head coach, but took it easy due to the surgery. Joe did awesome, and they beat the other team into the ground. It was like 48-0. We were in the awesome car driving down. Roller Coaster Road + the theme from Halloween and then growing pains. dance party in the car. swimming in a really awesome pool overlooking Tucson. Perfect weather at the game. tons of walking. Almost peeing my pants every two seconds because my bladder is the size of a pea. being so in love with collin. eating DELICIOUS "Mama's" pizza!!! So amazing! my mom and I got a cheese with tomato and artichokes. My pregnancy food is artichokes. playing werewolf, watching Chopped, telling ghost stories till 2, 3am. Then being the "OLD" person and telling everyone to be quiet and go to bed. awesome testimony meeting with just the family. (we've never done that, and it was really neat.) Taking a long shower, using a TON of shampoo and conditioner (is not using a lot a stressful thing for anyone else?), and taking a long walk around the hotel with Collin. Running into my mom and dad and friends. starving to death and shaking so my husband ran and bought me chinese food and somehow it was the most romantic thing ever. fun drive back and then home to our darling kitties who SPENT the night by themselves for the FIRST TIME EVER!!!! (Monte didn't kill Dot, phew.)

AND finally arranging the baby furniture and setting everything up and packing completely. yahoo. Still have lots to do for the room, but that's cool.

I took a ton of pictures and was so excited to post them and then...guess what...they weren't there. More than half of them were erased somehow. So depressing for me. Collin even took a picture of me pregnant that I wasn't totally disgusted at because of my largeness. LOST. but oh well...I must move on.....

Here are a few that SOMEHOW made it....

dates and wnba

Some things Collin and I have been doing together, lately

Driving to Cooliage, AZ, to go to Randolf Center
the sky was blue; the desert was fresh; the husband
was happy and there was great conversation.

Apparently this is the color we want for the baby's room.
I sort of got the picture.

I sat in back on the way home. feet needed to be up.
they are all puffy these days.

these were going to be pancakes, but
they were so thin so Collin called them belinis.
they were quite delicious.
we were so hungry that we ate each one as it was done.

Usually Collin takes the metro to work and I have the car,
but I was going to meet him downtown that day, so I decided
I wanted him to drive so that I could metro. I hadn't since we've
moved here.
It was great. Man, the metro in Phx sure is cheap and clean.
Lots of crazies, of course, which I like and which reminded me of DC.

Collin's coworker gave him tickets to a Mercury game. I'd never been,
but we were excited to do something different. It was a totally different
experience from going to a suns game, but man, were the fans loyal, excited,
and loud. the Mercury was behind 10-20 points the whole game and SOMEHOW
they came back and won by 1 basket at the last few minutes! it was pretty
exciting. hehe.

got these delicious nachos.

We've been wanting to see the Modern Mexican Paintings
exhibit at the Phx Art Museum, but we can never go because
CS works till after it closes. BUT! Wednesday nights they stay open
late, phew! It was a really great exhibit. I recommend highly.

I didn't see any "no photos" signs, so I took them freely at first, but then a very
nervous volunteer came up to me and asked me to stop. hehe, oops.

There was this one piece that we'd never seen anything like. It was so beautiful,
but I couldn't get a photo.

Go see it.

Loved these bibs in the gift shop.

Every night at 10:30, Collin falls asleep, exhausted. I usually am super tired too,
but sometimes I stay up a little later in bed, just reading.

I love him. We are making a human. We're going to be parents. A Mom and Dad.

It's like, whoa.
